Mexico Cruise 2016 - Day 3

To make it easier and I'm not posting 147019823098123 pictures at once I'm going to break down our trip into days.

Day One- Travel down to Long Beach
Day Two- Embarkation
Day Three- Day at Sea
Day Four- Catalina Island
Day Five- Ensenada
Day Six- Debarkation and travel home

Day 2 is ------------------> here!

Day two on the cruise ship was our "fun day at sea"... well our day didn't start out so fun! I loved having the balcony and being able to leave the door and window open at night. I enjoyed having the natural alarm clock and being able to get up with the sun every day. We were up and ready for brunch right when it started at 8:30 in the morning.

Justin's Huevos Rancheros

Jacqueline's eggs, ham, and bacon

My breakfast bread

Justin's breakfast breads

Jacqueline's danish.. I think?

I wanted the fruit salad sans the cottage cheese as a starter

My favorite breakfast! Bacon, eggs, and pancakes!

Yummy!

After breakfast we waited on the floor above the Lido deck (The deck our suite was on) to wait for Camp Ocean to open... and Jack lost her breakfast over the side of the boat. I think she learned her lesson that she can't eat her food quickly and then run all over the boat while it's rocking back and forth on the sea. Justin got her back to the room while I found a worker to help them clean up her mess. We decided that she would get half a patch and lots of ginger gum and ginger pills. The placebo effect worked well and she said she felt better instantly.... yeah.. it doesn't work that fast child but whatever. She got herself cleaned up and to Camp Ocean until we picked her up for lunch.

Justin and I tried to spend some time in the adult only area but once again it was filled with 40 year old men pretending to be frat boys and the actual college students. I despise college students... even when I was a college student. We found a spot in the back and in the shade. I fell asleep on Justin while he read. We stayed for about 45 minutes before we got annoyed by all the people and went back to our room and on our balcony.

I was hungry so I ordered room service for lunch. I loved that it was free and all I had to pay was a tip :)

I got a ham and cheese sandwhich with some chips.. There's some chocolate cake under the lid with the lettuce, tomato and pickle!

and my garden salad

Jack checked out of Camp Ocean right when she was suppose to and we walked down to the Lido Deck to get some lunch. We brought our lunch back to our room so Jack could not be distracted by people and focus on eating slowly and resting for a while before she ran off and played again. But we had the victory of her keeping her lunch down and being able to go back and play in Camp Ocean.

Justin and I took our deck of cards and found a place on the top deck behind the glass and played Gin Rummy for a couple of hours. It was like our normal date nights but sitting on the fake grass of the mini golf course watching the ocean pass by. Once our bums hurt from the fake grass we moved to our balcony and watched as we circled Catalina Island for the 80th time.
We did get to see a few dolphins and seals as we were circling the island.

Before dinner we took Jack to see the Hasbro Game Show they hold a couple times during the cruise. She tried hard to get on the stage and play but they didn't chose her. She had fun watching the game show though.

After the show we got ready for the Elegance Night! We got a few pictures done before we went to dinner. We ended up choosing 3 of the pictures we liked the best. We purchased the 3 pictures and got two canvas prints we liked the best.

We got in line and there was a little bit of a wait. We ended up waiting an hour to get it but it was worth it. We played Clue in the library while we were waiting for our turn. When it was finally our turn we were placed at table 209 with a wonderful waitstaff. The two main waiters, Kay and Eduardo fell in love with Jacqueline. They would come over and show her tricks and make her napkin animals, and made sure she felt like she was having a good time!

This is her rat.. mongoose.. idk.. "Stevie"

am i sexy?

The purse she bought on the ship.

She got the asparagus soup as a starter

Justin got scallops

And I got the strawberry bisque. Umm.. This was delicious!

Jacqueline loved it so much that Kay brought over her own glass full of the strawberry bisque.

Justin got the duck.. I tried it. I don't know if I could eat duck on a regular basis. Too gamey for me.

Jacqueline's shrimp

and my prime rib!

I think I forgot to take pictures of our desserts. All three of us got the chocolate melting cake. I also got the cheese platter so Jacqueline could taste them and not waste the entire plate.

Jacqueline had so much fun with Kay and Eduardo that she asked to be sat at table 209 the rest of the trip!  We were lucky enough to get it every time :)

May made us a bear for our towel animal for the night!

Day 4 coming up next!

Enjoy the ghettoy picture of a picture until I get them scanned in!
