Mexico Cruise 2016 - Day 6

To make it easier and I'm not posting 147019823098123 pictures at once I'm going to break down our trip into days.

Day One- Travel down to Long Beach
Day Two- Embarkation
Day Three- Day at Sea
Day Four- Catalina Island
Day Five- Ensenada
Day Six- Debarkation and travel home

Day 5 is --------------------> here!

The most dreaded day... getting off the ship! I think we were all a little sad that it had to end, but, alas, all good things must come to an end. We were up at 7:30 and quickly getting dressed and cleaning up the room for May.  We ate our last meal on the ship with all of our carry on bags in between our legs!

Apparently I was cool enough to take the picture of my breakfast!

After breakfast we had to wait in one of the theaters for our bags to be ready. We ended up waiting about an hour. At least the chairs were comfy and we had cell signal :)

Once we got all of our bags we waiting for the shuttle, hopped in our car, and started the journey back home.

Hehe my animal crackers got fused into weird shapes..

We finally made it back around 7 pm with a few stops.. Nothing too exciting about the trip home. The puppies were super excited to see us and the guinea pigs were too!

The panoramic shot from our balcony! It was sooooooo pretty!

Mexico Cruise 2016 - Ensenada

To make it easier and I'm not posting 147019823098123 pictures at once I'm going to break down our trip into days.

Day One- Travel down to Long Beach
Day Two- Embarkation
Day Three- Day at Sea
Day Four- Catalina Island
Day Five- Ensenada
Day Six- Debarkation and travel home

Day 4 is --------------------------> here!

Ahhhhh!! Ensenada! I love this place :) I love Mexico!!

We didn't want to rush super early to Ensenada since we had already been there before and Justin may have wanted some time in the hot tub without the wanna be frat boys and the college students in there.

We took our time, relaxed, slept in, and went to breakfast.

Jack's french toast and eggs

My ham and cheese omelet, waffles, and bacon

Justin's eggs Benedict with hash and chicken sausage.

After Breakfast, Jacqueline went to the Kids Camp and Justin and I sat in the hot tub. It was nice to have it all to ourselves for a while.

Around 10 we headed down into town. We had to watch Jack very closely as she has a tendency to wander off.. in Mexico she was going to get run over!

Yup that's right.. we stopped and got cans of soda.. someone *cough* Justin *cough* was missing his diet mountain dew.
We walked down the pier first... and the flag wasn't up again! Grrrr.. It was up 3 days ago :(

They were redoing the whole park!

The whole entire pier has been upgraded and redone! It looks fantastic!
We walked down to Lopez Ave and visited our favorite stores from last time. We went to the jewelry store first. Jacqueline was given some money to purchase what she wanted to as long as she bartered politely. She got scared and the store owner did all the bartering. I helped her out a bit.
Our spang-lish got us pretty far. I was surprised that knowing just a little bit of Spanish goes quite a ways.
She got a purse and I purchased some jewelry for myself and something for her birthday.
Sorry these pictures were taken afterwards :)

This was purchased for Jack's Birthday in June

We walked to our favorite leather shop right next to the jewelry store. We didn't know what we would find but Justin ended up finding a leather vest and I got a pair of sandals. All for $120 dollars!  We were surprised how cheap we were able to get them.

He asked my shoe size and I said "Diez" he said... no no.. this is Mexican sizes.. they smaller! Apparently I'm a 7 in Mexican sizes :)
We were pretty much pushed into the leather shop next to this one and looked around. We bought some leather bracelets and found some tee shirts we wanted to get, but we told the owner that we would be back after we got our daughter back to the ship.

She was getting bored and grabby and impatient. She wanted a mexican candy store and she was getting cranky. We found her a candy store on the way back to the ship and she was able to get some sour mexican candy.

We took her back, got her some lunch and back to Camp Ocean where she really wanted to be. Justin and I went back out after we ate.
Yummies!!

Thanks Jack -_-

While we were walking back out into Mexico we stopped by a little briefcase jeweler. We knew his stuff wasn't was well made as the store we usually stop at but his stuff was "dainty." That's what the guy was calling it. He told us he was trying to work on his English.. so the spanglish came in handy. I was able to get a thinner bracelet and Justin was able to get a plain thumb ring, which is what he wanted.
We walked up and down the street trying to find the shop we wanted to purchase the tee shirts at.. finally found it 20 minutes later and picked up the tee shirts. We talked with the owner for 20-25 minutes. He asked where our daughter went and he gave us some advice of starting a business to be able to pass on to our children. I understood where he was coming from but dude I'm on vacation... I don't want to be lectured.

We stopped by the jewelry man again.. he told us passing by 3 times means we get a free look. Justin and I laughed really hard! We stopped and talked with him for a while as well. It took him a while to understand that we adopted Jack and not when she was a baby. He didn't quite get that she was a foster child. He asked if we were newly weds and how old Jack was.. etc. I think he finally got it or at least pretended to. We told him we really love his jewelry and would always stop at his store when we were in town. He told us we should buy a vacation home in Ensenada on the hill.. Seriously I would!!

We walked back to the ship around three and parked ourselves right on the balcony. We were facing the port so we had a fantastic few of everything :)

That's right... rub my feet :)

Then the dock runner time came! Always our favorite part of Ensenada! You see all the late drunk people running to the ship so they don't get left behind.
The girl in the white dress and sun hat was sooooooo wasted and danced for a good 30 minutes before she was dragged away by her friends.

Some of our neighbors were watching with us! We all got into it.. yelling at the dock runners to run and hurry so they didn't miss the ship!
We only had two sets this year.

Yes we all cheered when they made it through customs!

Last dinner while we were on the ship. We were able to get table 209 again with the same wait staff.
Dinner Bread

Half of my starter quesadilla

Justin's beef and barley soup

She got the soup too along with the lemongrass soup. Kay put it in a glass for her again.

My soup
Jack's steak

Justin's Steak Tacos

My filet :)

Yummy!!
The waitstaff danced for us one last time and Kay pulled Jack up to dance with him

Jack was getting antsy to get up to the Kids Club. She said she was "full" and wanted to wait on dessert. She went up and changed into her normal clothes and said goodbye to Kay and Eduardo. Before she changed we got our final pictures with them!

Jacqueline and Kay

Jacqueline and Eduardo

Justin and I were able to eat dessert by ourselves and talk for a while.
my smores dessert

Justin's desserts

And Jacqueline's Dessert to go!  Orange Cake!

After dinner we went to the shops and I got Jack and I another set of tee shirts. I was also able to make a bracelet for her (or me... I haven't decided if I want to keep it or not) from the inches of gold.

We went back up to the room and packed while Jack was away. It made life so much easier.

May left us a sting ray :)

One last look out on the balcony!

We went to bed and got ready for debarkation. :( I don't think any of us wanted to get off!
