Mexico Cruise 2016 - Day 2

To make it easier and I'm not posting 147019823098123 pictures at once I'm going to break down our trip into days.

Day One- Travel down to Long Beach
Day Two- Embarkation
Day Three- Day at Sea
Day Four- Catalina Island
Day Five- Ensenada
Day Six- Debarkation and travel home

Day one's post is -------------> here!

Yay!!! Embarkation Day!!! We were so excited that Justin and I got up way to early.. 6 am... -_- but Justin did need to run to a store and pick up a jacket. He may have left it at home. He was back in time from breakfast around 7 am. We ate at the hotel, spent a few minutes redistributed our bags and hopped on the shuttle at 9 am. Since we were able to upgrade to the suite, we were able to take advantage of the suite perks which includes being one of the first people on the ship! Because of the storm the night before, Carnival wouldn't let us board as early as they normally do. They were dealing with some flooding and coming in late because of the storm. We didn't mind though, we got to wait in the captain's lounge away from the wind and chilliness. After we got checked in and got our Sign and Sail cards, we walked over to the Queen Mary so Jack could see the inside of the ship and really take in all the Queen Mary as to offer.

It started to rain while we were out on the deck

Yeah, I was done..

Thanks for the candid shot Justin

We had about two hours to wait until we were allowed to get on the ship. We spent 90 minutes looking and touring the Queen Mary. We spent the last 30 minutes sitting in the captain's lounge getting our last little bits of electrons in.

nope not windy at all

We promptly went to lunch to see that only the buffet was just opening up but the new Guy Fieri's Burgers was open as was the Blue Iguana Mexican Grill. Jacqueline got her shrimp burrito and Justin and I got burgers.

After lunch we went to our room to drop off what we had carried on the ship. We met our wondering stewardess, May. She was extremely helpful especially when Jack was getting her sea legs.

Our balcony.. Perfect for two people

We found Camp Ocean after touring our room and got Jacqueline all signed in and ready to come and go as she pleases.

We toured the ship next, showing Jacqueline the different location on the ship she would need to know; our dinning room, the adult only section, the lido deck, etc. We always stop and do the spa tour and put our name in the raffle. After the spa tour, I made an appointment to get my first pedicure done! I was lucky enough to get it right before the muster drill that day! Perfect way to start my vacation.

Waiting to feel the hot stones one her hand. The lady wasn't allowed to do her shoulders since she's so young.

Our bags showed up after the spa tour so we were able to unpack and relax in our room a little bit before my pedicure.  While I was getting my pedi, Justin took Jack down to the arcade and she played a few games before the muster drill.

And I relaxed away getting my feet done!

I quickly walked up to our muster station (on the lido deck) and found Justin and Jacqueline. She had to wear a special wrist band letting any of the workers know where her muster station was in case of an emergency. We had to stand around for about 30 minutes until the drill was done.

I realized that most of you haven't seen Justin's hair down since he's started growing it out! It's getting soooo long! It's about as long as mine!

After the muster drill we went up to the top front of the ship and waited for the ship to sail out!

It was freezing!

and super windy!

someone forgot their jacket and was hiding from the wind!

She got so excited when we start to move out into the ocean.

After we left, we went to the spa raffle. We didn't win :( but it was still fun. We got ready for dinner and headed to the dinning room.

I wasn't in any of the pictures because I was running up to the room getting Jack Dramamine because she was feel sick.
She ended up scarfing down her shrimp cocktail and it proceeded to come back up in a few minutes. Thank goodness I got her to the bathroom in time.. I may have pushed a few ladies out of the way but I got her there! Jack spent the next hour laying down and letting her tummy settle.

Justin took her back upstairs so I could get some food in my tummy (Thank goodness for that seasickness patch! It saved me this cruise)

My Cesar salad.. I remembered why I stopped ordering it. The dressing is very heavy mayo flavor.

I forgot to take a picture of my chicken, it was during the running to the bathroom so she didn't get sick in the dining room.

Justin and I were able to eat dessert together while Jack rested. We brought back her food so she could eat it later.

After she rested, Jack felt well enough to go to the welcome party at the kids camp and she was out until 10.. She dragged herself into bed barely awake. Justin and I sat out on our balcony until we passed out!

May left us an elephant and our tickets for our Catalina Excursion!

Next up! Day 3!
