Oceanside California (part 4)

Part 4

Last one, I promise!

After the mission, Justin and I drove to the pier again and spent some time around there.

We also drove to the boat marina and looked at the shops around there. Just a bunch of little tourist shops.

That evening, Justin and I walked down to the beach just before sun set and took some pictures that I'm going to use with crafts so I can hang around the house.

I know.. Be jealous of my heart shapes

On Friday we spent the day as a family and went out to lunch

We went to Wienerschnitzel! Justin's grandma really wanted to go :)

Apparently you can get golden wieners there.. (I was a little creeped out)

On the way out we saw the twin birds of paradise flowers! Sooo pretty!

Well there you have it! Our trip in four blog posts :)

Oceanside California (part 3)

Part 3

There's just so much that I had to break it up or it would have been on gigantic post!

On Wednesday Justin and I went a couple miles down the road and outlet shopped! Sorry, I didn't think it was that exciting enough to get pictures of. We ate lunch there and walked around the whole mall and picked up a few things that we found interesting. I picked up two pairs of shoes... I got Fossil wedges for $10. I know... be jealous!  Justin picked up a couple pairs of sunglasses to replace his "fabulous" glasses that he lost in the ocean. We also picked up a green throw for our recliners.

Thursday, Justin and I went to the San Luis Ray Mission in Oceanside and took a tour of the mission and the grounds.

One of the inner gardens

Inner courtyard! So pretty!

We found a lizard

The garden where they grow the medicinal herbs.

Where the Native Americans would wash their clothes

Probably the biggest aloe plant I've ever seen!

Part 4 coming soon!

Oceanside California (Part 2)

Part Two!

Well if you are on the beach, of course you are going to go swimming. Justin and I were walking down the beach and "accidentally" got wet from the waves. Well, if you're wet you might as well start swimming. Ok... well... We didn't get any pictures while we were swimming. Didn't want the camera to get ruined. I did snag one on the way back

Yeah... gotta love Justin's face.

For those who don't know, my hair is actually wavy/curly and I straighten it with the hair dryer. I've been letting the curls come out as my hair as been getting longer. Plus it's summer, it's the time of beachy wave hair! I wasn't going to fight it while spending time in the high humidity.

There it is! All I did was twist my hair into 4 buns and leave it in while I was getting ready. I'm sad that I can't have this hair all the time. Guess that isn't happening anytime soon here in Cedar!

Sad day though, I got really sun burnt when we went swimming on Sunday, even though I put lots of sun screen on! Curse of being a redhead!!

I decided not to be out in the sun on Monday and stayed under umbrellas, towels, and hoodies. No burns on burns. I've done that before and it SUCKS!!!

Yeah.. That's me on the roof, with a pillow, and a blanket. Don't judge! I get chills when I get burnt and my shoulders really hurt.

Later in the afternoon we went down to the beach and Justin and his dad went boogie boarding.

And I hid under a umbrella and wore my sweatshirt. The breeze was chilly and I wanted to protect my neck as well.

In the evening the whole family (all 12 of us) went down to the pier and ate at the restaurant.

So pretty!

Yeah... we have too much fun in the restaurant!

Just as the sun was finishing to set, Justin and I walked down to the beach and enjoyed the coolness of the night.

Part 3 coming soon!
