Mexico Cruise 2016

To make it easier and I'm not posting 147019823098123 pictures at once I'm going to break down our trip into days.

Day One- Travel down to Long Beach
Day Two- Embarkation
Day Three- Day at Sea
Day Four- Catalina Island
Day Five- Ensenada
Day Six- Debarkation and travel home

Day One!

We left on Sunday to travel down to Long Beach. We left at 9 am to head south.. we only had a couple of hiccups like someone misplaced the quarters for the bus in Long Beach.. it wasn't me.. nope.. :)

I drove the first half of the drive to Primm where we stopped for lunch. If you've ever had to take this drive... it's sooooo thrilling.

We were glad when we passed by Baker and the giant thermometer was up and running. It looks like they finally fixed it and up dated it!
Hottest part of the drive; a balming 78 degrees.

We ended up running into a dust storm between Baker and Bakersfield. The wind was so intense during the drive, from the storm up north, that we were being blown all over the road.

We ended up pulling into Long Beach around 4 pm and quickly got checked in and into our hotel room. We stayed at the same place as we did last time and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a decently priced Park and Cruise package!

Traveling is really hard!

We went to dinner a little early but it was worth it!  We found a highly rated Thai food restaurant across the street from our hotel and oh my was it delicious! All 3 of us couldn't get enough :)

When we were finished with dinner, we grabbed the bus down to the Pike! I'm so glad they had fixed up the pier since we had been there. There was many more people and a lot more stores open!

Jack had a couple little selfish moments of wanting to do absolutely everything there, like riding the Ferris Wheel and the bouncing trampoline and going to the aquarium, but we remained her that we are here to go to the Lighthouse and see the pier.

Apparently my phone takes blurry pictures of the Queen Mary.

Jack decided that she wanted to run up and down the hill that the light house was on.. go for it child! Go for it. Yes... see how many times you can run up and down in a minute.

It was getting windy, cold, and late, so we hopped back on the bus and went back to the hotel. Thank goodness she tired herself out enough to pass out and not be too excited for tomorrow!

Embarkation tomorrow!

Way too long to post these!

As I was going through the pictures on my phone to move them over to my flashdrive and make room for the 21357023475098023984 pictures I'm going to take on the cruise... I realized I never posted a blog about Christmas! Man... I will blame it on how I was feeling at the time and having zero energy to do things! Soooooooo here's the 3 month late Christmas blog post!

I also realized that I forgot to post our sealing trip so I'll get those up first.

When we knew that we were going to be adopting Jack I wanted to get sealed in the same location we were married at, Oakland, CA! I felt that it would be special for Jack to see where we were married and feel like she was part of it too. I put my foot down though, we weren't driving to Oakland. We weren't going to have time to drive, especially for a quick weekend trip. We left Friday night and flew into San Fransisco. It was Jack's first time flying... or even being in a big city like Las Vegas!

Justin and I caught some yucky food poisoning literally the day we left. We were so hopped up on meds and prayers that we would make it without throwing up. Somehow we made it :) Here's Justin trying to sleep some of it off!

We flew in around 9 pm and went straight to the hotel and went to bed!

The next morning we headed into Oakland and had to be there about an hour early. Justin's parents, grandparents, and sister and her family came as well as my parents and my Grandma Janis. It was a wonderful experience for everyone!

After the pictures we went to Round Table Pizza. My parents and grandma Janis headed back to the airport to head home and we headed to San Fransisco to do some quick sight seeing

We headed home Sunday morning and drove home to get ready for school and work the next day!
